An anchor allows you to link to a point partway down a page. To do this you need to set up the anchor on the destination page first.
Anchor name
Place your mouse on your destination point. You do not need to select any text. Click the anchor button:
![]()
You will be prompted to name the anchor. Choose an appropriate name and enter it in lower case, no spaces. Click 'insert'.
Destination URL
Copy the URL for the page of origin, and note the name of the anchor.
Anchor origin
Go the page of origin and the point from which you wish to link to the anchor. Highlight the text and click the link button. Paste the URL of the destination page, then enter '#anchor name' after it. Remember: no capitals, no spaces. Click 'insert', submit then test.
Remember: If you rename pages or rearrange your site you may need to redo your anchors.
