Just made it back from the very successful DrupalCamp Australia 2008 in Sydney on Saturday. Great venue, good variety of speakers, interesting topics and a great change to meet names from the Australian Drupal community in person.
Highlights for me were:
- Introduction to Simpletest by Simon Roberts - this module makes it so easy to start creating automated tests and will improve development speed.
- Domain access module, an alternate and mighty fine sounding way of implementing multiple sites.
- Exciting new announcements by Gordon Heydon about version 4 of the e-Commerce module - smaller, tighter, more flexible, supporting only Drupal 6 and scheduled to be released early next year.
Many thanks to Ryan Cross for organising the event and Jim Woulfe & Uni Sydney for organising and providing the venue!
